you can sign up with any name you want, but once you decide on your characters name, please change your display name. sure, this can realistically wait until you are approved or post your profile, but if you plan on filling out the app before posting it, then please change your name accordingly and make sure that your display name is all lowercase letters, and first and last names are requires, middle is optional, and please do not put punctuation in your display name. as for how many characters you can have, you can have as many as you'd like, but we ask they aren't all female since we would like to keep our ratio even. if the ratio is 5:1 or higher, there will be a ban placed on female characters.

on the note of applying, please post your application within 5 days of registering. we ask that you don't post any work in progress applications because, frankly, its not a long app. also, please fill out the application carefully and do not change the code. we'd also like for people to use people as play bys, and not drawn characters, since this is a real life RP and we'd like real people. do not try to pass of a 40 year old character as a 22 year old, please. also do not ask me five hundred times to check your application, trust me I will see it and read it- however, i have a life (mainly school and the barn) and am not on 24 hours a day.

we would love everyone on this site (and by love, i mean require) everyone to have a 100x100 avatar and a signature of their choice, as long as it does not exceed a width of 450 pixels. if you can't make graphics use photobucket to crop and resize a picture- it's not that hard i promise. nothing can be in your signature except a picture of your character. you will be warned and then banned if this rule is not followed. i do not like the way it looks and it takes away from the site- it is my number one pet peeve so follow this rule please.

[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]we will not be posting activity checks but we would like for people to at least log on once a week unless they post an absence. people who do not log in for two weeks will most likely be deleted, along with their character(s). you may have as many characters as you can handle, but if you choose to make more than one, try to make one boy for every two girl characters you have.
``roleplaying
we know everyone has a bad day every now and then, but on how we do, we have a posting minimum of 500 words a post. the staff will be paying attention to those who consistently do not make the word minimum, and if we catch this, we will talk to you. we are an intermediate to advanced role play site, so try to keep on par with the minimum. your 500 words must mainly be made up of characters thoughts and actions. ie. 300 words being song lyrics is not acceptable, just mention the song name and a couple lines.

we are a hunter/jumper/equitation based role play, therefore please make your character according to or give reasons why they are switching. when you are accepted you will be assigned a horse based on your characters skill level. all the horses are beyond talented and something anybody would be happy to ride so DO NOT whine. if you seriously do not like your assigned horse you may private message me with your legitimate reasons and i will change it (Mary only rides greys is not a legitimate reason). I may pull dirty tricks and randomly reassign horses, but this will only happen when a character lacks a life challenge. everyone will be assigned new horses at the end of the show season, unless it is obvious you have not succeeded at becoming good team mates. riders will be randomly called to the barn office for evaluations, mainly based on their mental state at the time.
